Thanks Brad for sharing the bottle! Poured into a taster showing translucent brown with clean white foam lacing. The nose shows tart swamp with leather and hints of bourbon. The palate is medium bodied and moderately carbonated. Lightly tart with a dark malt whisky finish.

Sample from batch 2/2013 at Kurtkeller 022: Pumpkin-tastic 03 on 10/31/2015. The beer pours a clear dark amber color with a medium thin off-white head that dissipates steadily. Campfire and fruity aroma, with some yeast in the background. Medium to full body with flavors of charred malt, adhesive bandage, and sour fruit. The finish is intensely smoked meats and fruit. Disjointed overall, but decent.

Picked this up in Belgium. Thanks Dany. Enjoyed split 2 ways @ 45 F in stemware. Pours flat dar brown fig colored actually. no head. The nose has a little acetic tartness some smoke, cherry skins and clove. Other faint berries. taste is interesting. I get cherry cola, a lot of smoke, some plastic, berries and some other dark fruits. It is slightly tart, tea-like and a crisp finish. the smokiness is not pleasant in this case but it is an interesting beer. Very amazing the ABV is 10 degrees.

Bottle. Hazy brown color, off tan head. Aroma of toasted brown bread and light spice. Taste has brown bread, caramel, spice, soft sourness. Nice.

Bottle shared at Levi’s. Another awesome Fantome, I love this brewery. Smoke and osur aroma. Flavor has more smoke, some meat. Dry and earthy, with a light sourness. I might have classified this as a smoked beer rather than sour, as the smoke is much more prominent than the sour character.

Bottle, big thanks to Matteo at the Pre-Zwanze. It pours dark brown with a quickly dissipating medium beige head. The nose is wood, toast, roasty, earth, tart lemon, green apple, vanilla and coconut. The taste is crisp, sweet-sour, Granny Smith apple, tangy lemon, caramel, musty, light smoke and brown bread with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. I really like the balance. Pretty damn tasty.

Bottle at the Pre-Zwanze tasting - London. Many thanks to Matteo! Pours cloudy brown with a creamy, off-white head. The aroma has some toasty brown bread and mellow smoke. Light sweet flavor, somewhat tangy, more smoke, light peat, dry brown bread, mild lemony tang. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. Moderately sweet finish, more tangy lemon, some peaty smoke, brown bread, mellow funk. Novel and not bad.

750 ml bottle thanks to some generous person at the bottle share. The aroma is a strange blend of stout and sour. Dark fruits, yeast and sour cherries. Flavor is mocha, funky berries, oak barrel, roasted grains and a slight pucker after the sip. Hints of Brett. It reminds me of Madrugada Obscrua. Really comparable. Odd and real interesting.
