Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is dark malt, caramel, chocolate syrup, some chillies, dried dark fruits, molasses, some liquorice and alcohol. Flavour is sweet and moderate bitter with some mild chili burn. Body is above medium, fairly sticky in the mouth. Quite sweet and syrupy, boozy, not the smasher I had hoped for. Nice balanced chillies though.

Enormous thanks Iznogud/JFK/Max! Blackish body, brown head. Heavy aroma, caramel, rosehip jam, treacle, complex maltiness that is... showing some alcohol too. Soft, heavy caramel-heavy taste, the most salt-caramelly imperial stout I've run into so far. A liquid Mars bar that ends up balanced out by a light pepper burn, and doesn't show nearly as much alcohol as in the aroma. By all means an excellent beer!

Bottled 14-08-17. Incredibly thick and super sweet. Muddy and caramelly, with a touch of chocolate. Lovely bit of chilli heat in the background, not super spicy, but clearly there. Maybe just a bit too sweet to be great, this baby needs smoke or licorice.
13/7/21: Bottled 14-08-17. Black, creamy brown head, chunky. Smells malty, slight roast, chocolate, hint of chilli. Very thick and smooth body, the chilli starts tingling right away but in a loving way. Still really sweet, loads of milky chocolate. Unbalanced.

Bottle, 0.33l. Weird aroma of peppers, tropical fruit, vanilla, licorice and herbs. Almost black color with thin quickly diminishing light brown head and poor lacing. Taste starts with sweet roasted malt, chocolate and licorice, follows by vegetables, cough syrup, toffee and spicy peppers, mouthfeel is slimy and hot, while finish is mild bitter with never ending spiciness. Full body, thick syrupy texture and soft carbonation in palate. Spiciest beer I’ve ever tried...

Borefts IX, Day 2. Keg. Opaque black - brown beer, small tan head. Soft palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Sweetish dark malts, some creamy dark chocolate. Trace of coffee. Chilli itch on the back of the throat, but it never gets out of hand. Smooth finish leaves the chilli lingering on. Mercifully, not over done.
