Bottle thanks to bleeng at the May tasting. Pours a dark ruby with a paperthin off white head that quickly diminishes to nothing. The aroma is cinnamon and hairspray. Alcohol upfront with a smoke vanilla flavor. A decent old ale from Straight to Ale.

Growler from Liquor Express. Pours dark brown with a thin, bubbly, tan head and a light ring of lacing. The aroma is caramel, grapefruit, apricots, dates, and bourbon notes evidenced as oak and vanilla. The flavor is cloyingly sweet. The palate is huge and clingy, with a significant alcohol warming. Overall, an overpowering beer, complex and strong.

Draft at the Rocket City Brewfest. Hazy brown with little to no head. Well balanced aroma of Bourbon and caramel malts. Sweet with good Bourbon notes. Well done, good balance.
