Spotty beige head on a clear amber coloured body. Malt, tea & spiced aroma. Medium bodied, with with a sharp back. Caramel, tea, spiced, malt & fruity tastes with a long bitter finish. Great Bitter.

Bottle shared with Grumbo: Poured a golden with a off white head. Aroma is malty. Taste is light bitter but quickly balanced by malts, ends a little toffee and earthy.

25/7/2020. Bottle from Beer Cockermouth (beergb.com), and shared with the SHIG at our second Cumbrian bottle share. Pours clear pale amber with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of hops, malt, fruit, citrus, caramel, biscuit. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average carbonation.

Cask @ Watermill Inn, Ings. Clear golden with a head. Has a slightly deeper tasting hop-malt balance.

Bottle from the Watermill Inn. Appearance - golden amber with a decent head. Nose - generally toffee, citrus if you look for it. Taste - honey, citrus, then melding into toffee/caramel. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - ok.

On cask at the Watermill in Ings. Appearance - golden with a nice creamy head. Nose - elusive, a hint of malt and citrus. Taste - big orange note. Orange barley water. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a long dry Overall - solid ale!

Draft at the source. Clear golden yellow color, white head with solid lacing. Subtle lemon aroma. Taste is light citrus, edge of white pepper.

Cask at the brewpub. Mostly cleat golden coloured pour with a lasting white head. Aroma us nice floral hop, pollen. Faint tropical fruit and citrus . flavour is composed of light grains, light citrus. Hedgerow, light grassy hop. Palate is light , grainy, lowish carbonation. Decent golden.

On cask at Watermill Inn, Ings - Clear yellow straw body, thin white top. Nose is grassy and floral, a bit of wet hay and mown grass. Taste is a bit of a wash out, but I partly blame it on having it after a stronger beer. Ordinary at best.
