Bearwalker was inspired by our brewmaster Bailey’s Vermont roots. Pure maple syrup is infused during the conditioning phase, and is noticeable from start to finish. Chocolate malts add roasted notes to the flavor and aroma. It is also more highly hopped than most browns to create a balanced, yet complex brew.

Tap. Medium brown with a white head. Had more maple aroma than flavor. Taste was a roasted, slightly nutty flavor with a light maple finish.

Can, pours clear orange brown. Maybe just a hint of maple in the nose. Yes, a maple sweetness on the uptake into the piehole. Into the middle, it is an ale, but not as ale-ish in the negative attributes as many. I can see this being called a brown ale, but it probably should be styled as a flavored beer. As a brown ale, this stuff would never match up to East End Fat Gary Nut Brown, Brew Keepers Wild & Wonderful Honey Brown, Beaver Brown Note, Bloom Brew Ol Willy Weddell's Brown or even Zuckfoltzfus Squirrel Bait. Towards the end, this stuff is starting to grow on me and is becoming a little more acceptable. Finishes with a milder ale maple taste. Decent co2 thru the session. Average for a flavored beer.

Single from Beer Cellar in Dallas. Mojito glass at home. Muddled but mostly clear, brown ale. Bittersweet, malt balls, cocoa breakfast cereal, mineral water. Bittersweet, leaning dry surprisingly, very obvious brown bread notion with a slight hint of acid & maple on the tail. Frothy, thin but chalky. Kinda good.

355ml can. Clear, auburn colour with ruby shimmer and average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, caramel and slightly dark malty aroma, hints of malt lozenge, caramel, nutty overtones, a leafy, earthy, hoppy touch as well. Taste is surprisingly bitter, grassy and minimally leafy hoppy, caramel and dark malty basis with hints of malt lozenge, caramel, a touch of maple syrup, brown sugar, rock sugar, toffee. Watery texture, minimally dry palate, medium, scattered, mildly prickly carbonation. Well balanced, relatively complex - very tasty!

Can: can is a bit old, but I purchased this fairly recently do I blame the store. Pours light brown and light beige head. Aroma is toasted malts, toffee and maple. Maple notes, low bitterness. Fine.
