The Immortal Tree is an Imperial Red Ale that pours a brilliant ruby color with heaps of foam laden with sticky hop oil. A massive charge of Centennial, Simcoe, Nugget, Chinook, and Cascade was used to balance its malty stature. Subduing its sweet grain bill are notes of flowing pine sap, grapefruit peel, earthy hop yards, and candied citrus fruits that erupt from the glass.

Pours a dark, reddish-brown, with smallish head. Aroma is roasted grain, some hops. Flavors follow, with a big burst of sweetness. When I first tasted it, it was all butterscotch, but as the beer warmed, it was more bread and malty. Still far too sweet, whatever the plan. Smooth mouthfeel.
