Clear dark brown to black beer, creamy beige head, a little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: a bit of a sweet impression, sugary, alcohol, good roast, smoky touch. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: good roast, alcohol, more roast, dry, spicy, alcohol, ok but not great. Aftertaste: bread, bitter, spicy, gingerbread, dry, a bit herbal.

Bottle. Black. Malt, roast, salt and soft earthy notes in the aroma. Full bodied. Malty sweet roasty flavor with salted licorice. Grassy, citric hops and soft earthy notes. Low on carbon. Well balanced. Fine imperial stout.

Bottle from the dregs run. Cheers Craig. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of soy sauce, dark chocolate. Taste is more of the dark chocolate than anything else. Clean finish.

Borefts IX. Day 2. Keg. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, a light creamy sweetness. Spicy dark chocolate. Mushroom? You need to be looking for it. Light semi dry finish. Tidy.

Bottle @ home (a few years old, although the label states I could have kept it for another 22 years, until 2040). Black color. Light brown head, short retention. Aroma's: sweetish, salty/umami, a but fruit, berries, something strange. Retronasal it's sweetish, light salty, roast, molasses. Flavor is light moderate sweet, umami, roasty. Above medium bodied. Long finsih with light roasted bitterness.

Black with quick fading head. Aroma and flavour have dark roasted malts. Hints of coffee and liquorice. There's no obvious mushroom or truffle but there is a general earthy background taste.

Definitely smells shroomy. Strong bitter, thick and rich stout. Some licorice. Truffle present, Boletus in the aftertaste. Fun(gus) stuff!
