Bottle picked up at De Molen Brewery, Bodegraven, Netherlands, consumed at Somers Wood Caravan Park, with Dad and Pauline. Friday 6th October 2017 Pours nearly black with a large light beige head. Loz says that the aroma is copper coins and she is spot on. Lots of black treacle, bonfire toffee and maybe a little truffle edge, a big beast of a beer. Lovely . A7 A4 T8 P5 Ov16 4.0

Bottle. Black color, weak brown foam. Aroma: burnt barley and roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, prunes, light mushroom note, a little smoked. Taste: mighty, sweet start, caramel, prunes, bitter chocolate and coffee, drop of brandy, warming, bitter finish. Good one.

Tap. Black color with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, sweet, sugary, some milk chocolate. Taste is the same. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Fun!

Sampled @ Borefts Beer Festival 2017. A black beer with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted sweet malt, vanilla, some lactose. Taste of sweet chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, nice.

From tap. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty. Dry and roasted malty. Bitter and roasted. Dry malty. Breadish and roasted. Bitter and slight herbal finish.

Shared at a tasting, thanks Benzai, trickly oily pour, almost no head, pitch black color, lots of chocolate in aroma, with some toasty notes, choclate flavor with hints of mushroom and dirt, oily mellow and rounded/ amaybe not too complex but good and highly enjoyable.

Bottle at home. Black with short lived dark tan head. Sweet roasted chocolate malts, molasses, roasted hazlenut, ink, truffles. Over medium sweet and moderate bitter. 12oz bottle via Secret Santa pours an oily black with some brown edges. Nose has malt, moldy bread, smoke, chocolate, some black pepper. Flavor is super earthy with tons of umami, soy, mushroom, smoke, a little BBQ sauce. Full bodied and tannic on the end.

Bottle. Black oily pour. Aroma has roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and a herbal note. Taste has sweet mocha coffee, roasted malt, milky chocolate and a sweet-ish herbal earthy flavor that must be the mushroom. Quite nice, tasty ris.

Botella 33 cl en el Kraken 07..02..2017. Lote 160101 hasta 01..2040. (r01). Color negro intenso brillante con espuma oscura que desaparece al poco casi por completo. Aromas y sabores maltosos y cereales tostados algo secos con ligeros toques herbaceos y cafés y cacao no muy notables. Ligero amargo seco al final. Toques de cereales rústicos Centeno que se dejan notar. Cuerpo ligero a medio algo denso y espumoso. No está mal, bastante buena.
