Pygmy Owl is an IPA with full fledged hop taste and aroma, yet is remarkably low in alcohol. In fact, it clocks in at only 4.2% ABV. An IPA with full flavor, but without the harsh bitterness. And the best part, you can have more than one without getting that drunkied up feeling.

Clean, barley, grass. Clear pale yellow, thin head. Grassy and thin. Moe lager than IPA.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear yellowish straw color with very little head. Aromas of paper, pork rinds, pineapple and straw. Light flavors of grass, melons, pineapple and cardboard. A good attempt, but seems like a good IPA cut with an industrial lager.

Bottle from Metro Liquor, Victoria
Hazy blond color with small head. Both aroma and flavor have a paper character; the body is thin; it has a light citrusy touch, and correct bitterness.
Boring.

12oz bottle pours with a gold body that supports an off white head. The aroma offers up some grapefruit citrus hops, spicy hops and a bit of tropical fruitiness. The taste starts prickly with carbonation and that brings up bitter tangelo and grapefruit like citrus hops and then a touch of mango. It gets into a brief moment of malt sweetened hop flavor before the hop bitterness takes this into the finish. Pretty nice but this seems biased toward the bitter hop side and the above average carbonation makes it feel more thin than it is. Despite the lack of balance and thin body I’m am up for trying more of this. It’s a nice refreshing hoppy brew.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow with a thin, short lived white head. Aroma has notes of grapefruit, grass, resin and pine. Sweet flavour, slightly acidic with notes of citrus, hay, resin and a dry, bitter pine finish. Light body, watery texture and average carbonation.

Bottle clear light golden/yellow, with a white frothy head. Light malt aroma, with a touch of lemon in the hop notes. Light bodied and clean. Fairly hoppy but not very bitter. Definitely a baby IPA...maybe a west coast Pilsner

12 oz bottle from Super 1 in CDA, ID. Aroma consists of chalky candy, floral notes, perfume, pine--all fairly faint. Pours pale hazy yellow with a medium white fluffy head with decent retention. Taste is bittersweet, but less emphasis on bitter; citrusy. Highly carbonated with a medium to thin body. Nice, simple beer. Is what it set out to be.

12oz bottle. Filtered yellow-orange-tan body. Thin white head. Mellow citrus rind, tropical apricot nuances in the aroma. This is on the thinner side of the equation for a Session IPA, more hoppy Golden Ale. Still quite enjoyable. Some soapy green bitterness in the finish. Not the best Session IPA out there, but still a tasty venture.

Bottle: Light golden yellow in color with a finger of white head. Nose is lightly citrus and floral with a heavy malty sweetness. Easy drinking, no ‘off’ flavors. Malty with light citrus and florals. Can this and it’s an outdoorsman’s best friend.
