Slightly miusty gold with a frothy white head and a minimal fruit malt aroma. Fresh and fruity up front with slightly tart hop bitterness and a dry bitter finish.

Drinkable enough. Has a firm bitterness to it, especially in the aftertaste. A little more than the beer can manage, I would say. Adequate pale malts. A scattering of citrus peel and pine needles. This one grows a bit. But overall, it’s just OK.

[Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell.] An amber pour with a close white head; fruity aroma; quite oily in the mouth with a taste of peach and nectarine, and a smooth grainy body; then a lingering bitter finish. Very pleasant.

Half a pint in the Thomas Botfield, Telford Town Centre on Sunday 8th March 2026. Very pale, but bright golden body, white crown that hung around. Fruity and thirst quenching, nice blend of hops, but a few more might have helped it's depth of flavour. I did enjoy it though.

Cask handpull at Captain Flinders JDW Euston. Clear old gold colour lasting off white head. Some toffee flavour. Some dryness on the finish. Mostly a toffee caramel beer with some hops appearing at the end. Some bitterness on the finish. Needs more hops to be a west coast ipa.

Viscious! It hit me like a flower. I drank three in an hour. Oh babe, you're so viscous.
Cask up the White (haired?) Lady.

Wetherspoon Spring Beer Festival 2026, Beer#2. Paler clear golden coloured fest ale with plenty of body. This is quite a bittered IPA in both aroma and taste despite the plethora of fruity hops, with their influence underlying.
