This 16 oz can came from the responsive folks at Half Time, the stamp on the can indicates it was born on 12/23/24. Once again this is my first time experience with the brewery and I'm hopeful it is a good one. And the artwork is nice, I do like my dogs. I have my Great Heights tulip glass in place, the tab is pulled and I pour. A partially clear, lemon yellow body with a persistent cover of fully white foam. The smell, well, this is going the right direction, it is obviously a throwback style IPA. The taste supports that, pine, citrus especially lemon, white bread, malt and a hint of hard candy. Far from the best DIPA I have had but a truly decent one for this day and time.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is piney hops with malt, resin, light tropical fruits, some alcohol, caramel, notes of orange. Flavour is moderate sweet with a bitter finish. A little booziness, but not too bothersome, just a little bit. Body is medium. Piney, malty and a bit boozy, decent if fairly unremarkable IIPA.

(Draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm, 20 Feb 2024) Pale amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, herbs, tropical fruit and pineapple. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruit, resin and a balanced herbal/citric bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a slight sweetness. Fresh and tasty, with a generous hop presence. Very nice.

Very clear copper coloured body with a thin, off-white head that leaves a thin lace on the sides. Aroma of crisp grass with a light bite of alcohol, cleanser, herbal notes and some flowers, with a minimal sweetness. Medium-bodied; Strong rich astringent malts dominate up front, with a grassiness that's dry, but fairly pervasive with a crisp citrus and cleanser element and some slight sweetness, but fairly minimal. Aftertaste shows the pungent, astringent quality with a nice, crisp, very bitter hop note, but soft enough to be easy-ish drinking with some nice malt body that is balanced, however very pungent and one-dimensional, with a pungent bite, but still nice and reminiscent of IPAs of old. Overall, a crisp, astringent and very bittered IPA with a cleanser and citrus bite, but nothing too complex. Nice to try and robust - just like the East Coast Imperial IPAs from the mid 2000s! Nice, but without complexity - this one was nice to sample fresh-ish! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Union Square, 14th Street), New York on 02-May-2021 for US$4,99, canned on 28-September-2020, sampled at my house here in Washington on 08-June-2021.
