0.3 l on tap at ’Bierfabriek’ Amsterdam. Dark brown to black with a thin, creamy, tan to brown head. Faint, sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of dark chocolate, coffee and raisins. Sweetish, roasty-malty, slightly fruity taste of coffee, dark chocolate, raisins and burnt nuts, followed by a medium long, roasty-bitter finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Solid, nothing special.

Rund würziger. Deutlich und schokoladiger Malzantrunk. Würzig mit steigender Herbe, die aber insgesamt auf angenehmem Niveau bleibt. Aromatisch, vollmundig, leicht erhöhte Karbonisierung. Gut. 11/12/11/11//11

Draught (Bierfabriek, Amsterdam) - Dark brown with red tinges. Coffee, roasted malt and some slightly soapy notes in the aroma. Roasted and fairly hoppy taste with liquorice, roasted malt, fudge and pine. Almost on the verge of being a black IPA.

On tap @ the brewpub. A really good looking one this with a near black body under a nice creamy lacing dark beige head. Smells decent. Cold coffee, light roasted with traces of both dry cardboard and wet hay. Mild in the taste really. Not bad though. Quite creamy and soft roasted. Kinda Guinness-like in a way. Cold coffee and an almost fluffy cloudy feeling in the mouth. I like the roastiness here, but it's not a super memorable one. Works if you're thirsty I guess. 25.09.2014

Draught at the brewpub in Amsterdam. Dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a lasting medium tan head and sticky lace. Aroma is sweet roasted barley, wort and burnt toast, soggy nuts. Flavour is more burnt toast, bitter roasted grains, earthy dirt. Big harsh lingering roasted bitterness is out of balance . palate is highish carbonation, medium sweet. Meh.
