Hazy orange and pink coloured body with a bright copper tint and athin off-white head. Aroma of cherries (of course), sour grapes, earth, funk/brett and a touch of light fruity sugars. Medium-bodied; asserive effervescence, showing a lot of funk and some sweetness, but even more bitterness and earthy qualities. Aftertaste has a moderate sweet and yeastie balance, but the sour qualities are still present. Overall, a decent fruit-based beer from Choc, but not amazing nor worthy of spending a lot of money on! I sampled this 12 ounce snifter on draught at TapWerks in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on 12-September-2014 for US$7,00.

8 oz Boulevard Tulip glass draft pour at Waldo Pizza in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a hazed orange ruby golden with a smallish white head. The aroma is citrus, cherry tartness. The taste is clean black cherry, tartness is present immediately, though smooths out as the beer opens up. The palate is light to medium bodied with soft carbonation and a clean tart finish. Nice one.

The beer is a reddish orange-amber color. Itβs quite cloudy. The head is small with a pink hue. Dissipates quickly. The aroma has a good dose of sweet and sour cherries. Earthy, funky yeast character. Some fruity notes bouncing around, maybe from brett. Tropical and citrus flavors. Pineapple, mild tangerine, papaya. Taste is medium to mild tart. Lots of fruit flavor. Some oak character. Mild medicinal flavor. Finishes fairly dry. Light feel. Normal carbonation. Tasty beer.

Poured from a 500 ml bottle. Aroma is definitely funky with a nice yeast character of tropical fruit, pineapple, cherry pie and a hint of barnyard funk. Light malt graininess and a light cherry character. Pours a hazy orangish copper with a hint of pink. Medium sized, fairly thin, slightly off white head that recedes fairly quickly thin a thin layer that replenishes itself. Medium light lacing and small legs. Flavor has a nice medium light sweetness with a medium cherry character. Light grain notes and a bit of white bread. Moderate yeast character with pineapple, tropical fruit and a bit of barnyard funk. Just a touch of acidity and moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice beer with a lot of cherry character and yeast funk, but it seems to be missing a touch of something. The finish is also a touch rough, maybe a bit more of acidity or some oak is what this needs to round it out.

50cl bottle pours a grapefruit pink with some frothy then ringing white head. Nose has some white grapefruit notes, blood orange, lightly vegetal, some cherry - mostly unripened white cherry, hints of funk, perhaps the slightest bit cheesy. Flavor has lots of bitter citrus, grapefruit, blood orange, a little raw tangerine, some cherry but mostly unripened, some mild soap, a little pencil eraser, some straw, stinging nettles. Medium bodied, tart finish. The cherry is more at the end than anywhere else.
