Bottle. Malt Attacks, Brussels. Very hazy, straw colour. Lots of fast rising bubbles. Huge, expanding, ice cream head. Fruity bubblegum yeast. Lemon sorbet hop. Notes of white grape juice. Hint of spice. Taste is fairly dry, with a lick of sweetness. Definitely some hop action. Massaging mouthfeel. Light body. Finishes spicy, lemon hop bitter.

Draft at Billie’s Bier Kafetaria, Antwerp. Near clear golden with a white head. Aroma of peppery saison yeast, citrus, light grass and herbal notes. Flavour is light sweet and moderate bitter. Light to light medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

New Hedonis beer, a dry-hopped saison with spelt. At Afsnis in Ghent, shared with Craftmember. Thickly lacing, creamy, dense, frothy, snow white head, hazy ochre blonde colour with peachy hue. Refined aroma of candied lemon, lime zest, red apple, melon, bread crust, raw pineapple, old dry cake, green banana, soap. Fruity, estery but elegant onset with hints of melon, pineapple and kiwi, sweetish with sourish edge, vivid with fizzy carbo fit for this style, bready middle with soapy ’wheatiness’, slight lemon peel touch, ’deep’ spelt sourishness paired with a malt sweet finish further adorned with spicy, herbal hop bitterness, very refreshing. Well accomplished as a saison contrary to many other new self-proclaimed representatives of this hard to define style.

Bottle sample @ Flemish Foodbash, Koksijde.

First tasting Fully hazy but bright yellow beer; small yellowish rim. Citric, lemonflower, linden. Bitter-spicy-leafy. Not overly noble bittering hops dominating. Light to medium bodied, undercarbonated. Average. New tasting 01/06/2017 Points attributed are average from both tastings Small white head, lacy, over yellow beer, with a light green sheen. Spicy, clean yeast, fine herbs & spices. Spicy, again these fines herbes, dry, floral, noble hops. Spritzy, refreshing, light body. Very nice, inviting and refreshing light summer beer.

Thank you for sharing! Sampled draft @ Gents Bierfestival 2016. Very hazy orange, yellow, little white head. Nose is sweetish other grain, fizzy, sugar, bread, other grain profile doesn’t really appeal to me. Taste is fizzy stale other grains, dull sugar, milky, cornflakes, white sugar,… Fizzy,… Too sweet for me & the spelt profile doesn’t seem to appeal to me. Too bad.

Clear pale yellowish beer, small creamy off-white head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet, very floral, ripe fruits, banana, yeasty touch, bit spicy, reminds me of the Dupont yeast, MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sourish, yeasty, lemon touch, soft bitterness. Aftertaste: spicy touch, citrus, dry bitter finish, bit yeasty, some grains, malts.
