From the tap at Taproom Jungbusch, Mannheim, Germany. Pours hazy gold/orange with fluffy fine foam, fine. Aroma is fantastic: bready, caramel, candy sugar. Liquid bread. Body is medium with good carbonation. Taste is definitely sweet, only some underlying bitterness. Finish is relatively short.

Can from Bier Freunde, Leipzig. Grainy fresh nose. The beer starts mild and fruity, grainy with hints of floralness. The grainy aroma is in the foreground, intense, a bit mouldy muddy. Smooth grainy aftertaste. Sessionable but nothing outstanding or special.

Orange with little white head. Aroma is aprictos, some peach, chalk flour. Taste is lots of apricots, bitter hops, and sweet fruity malt. Nice drinkability. Not bad.

Sampled @ BKL 2017. Trübes orange goldenes Bier mit einer geringen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch nach roten Früchten, getreidig, wenig Gewürze. Geschmack sehr getreidig, leicht fruchtig.

Aroma of sweet bread, biscuit, sweet fruits, grains, some flowers.
Tastes of biscuit, bread, grains, hay, flowers, some sweet fruits.
Medium, a bit creamy mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes smooth, a bit dry, bready, floral, slightly herbal.
Good. Smooth and well balanced, with enough sweet notes, but also a good dryness towards the finish. Solid, a bit modern take on the style, while not outstanding.

Tap. Hazy orange color with. Aroma is bready, grainy, hay. Taste is bready, grainy, hay again, sweetish. Medium carbonation. Just ok, it’s a bit disappointing given the other beers by this brewery.

Tap in Camba Gundelfingen. Cloudy orange, golden lace. Dry hayish malt, grassy and grape like hops. Medium light chewy body, hayish, clayish, orange peel finish. Lacks the moreish quality I want from a Kellerbier.
