Pours amber brown and has a smoky, malty aroma. The flavor is sweet malt with ample smoky flavor with toffee and toasted malts. Medium bodied. Quite tasty.

Can from Costco calendar. A dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a fine beige head. Aroma is big salty smoked malts, birch, liquorice, little honey glazed ham. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty malts, nut roast, mellow smoke, mineral liquorice. Palate is semi sweet, little thin, moderate carbonation.. Good.

Can behind day 19 of the Costco Boostmas calendar. It pours dark brown with a bubbly khaki head. The aroma is rich, oily, bitter - sweet, rich smoked character, sticky BBQ vibes, sticky ribs, meaty, honey glazed ham, umami, toasty malt and a touch of jammy dark fruits. The taste is dry roast, bitter - sweet, toasty, umami, spice, deep smoked action, charred action, dried fruits, fruit cake, touch ashy, burnt brown toast, jammy fruits, cola, Dr Pepper, some peppery spice and oak smoked ham with a dry, roasty/smoked finish. Medium - fulsome body. A rich and hearty smoked number. Enjoyable.

Half liter can from the 2021 Costco advent calendar, 12/8/21. Clear dark amber, dense creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of strong smoke, some caramel, rye bread, and dark fruit peeking in. Taste is smoke, caramel, nuts, mild hops, rye bread. Very slick, well balanced. Nice.

Half liter can from the Costco Advent calendar. Nose is smoked ham / bacon all the way. Smoky, salty, roasty, savory. Behind that is some dark chocolate and dark bread. Almost pitch black. Just a touch of brown tint. Thick low head. This is like a Saxon Schwarzbier made with smoked malt. Very interesting. Way darker than any Franconian rauchbier I know. Very smoky and also burnt, like a schwarz. Dark chocolate covered ham with a bit of coffee. Fascinating and very good. Approaching smoked porter territory. Medium body. Smooth, with low carbonation. Really glad I got to try this unique beer.

Can 19 from the CostCo Advent pack from the Woodland, CA CostCo. Pours clear dark brown with a moderate beige/tan head. Aroma is moderately smoky. Med body or so. Flavor is at least moderately smoky with somewhat dark malt. Kind of like unburnt toast. Pretty dry for me. Definitely bitter - maybe from the smoked malt besides some Nobel hops. Nice done; very good rauchbier flavor.
