Sample at Alan’s HSC initation. Bottle from Howard’s Market in Tehachapi, CA. Pours a clear orange-amber color with a medium foamy light khaki head that dissipates steadily. Sticky patches of lacing on the glass. The aroma is mildly malty with notes of caramel and citrus. Medium-bodied and evenly bitter and sweet with hops and malt flavors. Touches of citrus as well. The finish is mostly sweet toasted malt with a bit of hops left over. Average overall.

Yeasty, hoppy, walnut nose. Clear brown color, no head. Dry and pleasantly bitter. Weak walnut finish. Not great, but decent regular brew for ABA lovers.

Very pretty amber, translucent-like...quick dissipating head ecru and pale pink...orange citrusy aroma with light malts...light and little bit of hops...silky body...light flavors of citrus and the malts....everything about this beer is mild and dainty like the hummingbird on the front, well balanced with soft lacing

Bottle pours a clear deep redish brown. Small light tan head and thick coating of lacing. Mlaty and sweet aroma. A bit of earth wood and brown sugar. Flavor is grassy and rather bitter. Woody again and the malts while a bit dark are not very sweet. Lanty of bittering for the style and more than I expected. Rather light palate and lively carbonation. Not a bit fan.

Tasted from bottle at Nat. Homebrew Conference 06/23/06. Clear copper color with off white head. The aroma was mostly all hops with a citrus orange and spicy hops. Very nice and pungent. I taste orange-ish hop flavor along with what seems like Centennial hop bitterness. Excellent hoppy beer.
