One of our favorite beers is back in an updated form. Last year’s The Extra Special Bitter End, which we brewed together with our dearest friend Eric at Florida-based Grand Central Brewhouse, quickly became a favorite, and we decided early on to make a new version for 2026.
The beer is a beautiful, semi-clear, nougat-colored Extra Special Bitter, brewed to deliver balanced notes of chocolate, toffee, caramel, and a subtle, hoppy herbal character. A classic pub beer that pairs well with almost any kind of food, but above all shines as a social beer.

(Keg at Oluthuone Haka, 20260307) The beer poured amber and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had earth, toffee and caramel. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramel, toffee, earth and bitterness. Aftertaste had malts, toffee and bitterness. Good.
