12 ounce bottled shared by maniac at the 12th Richmond Ratebeer Gathering on 9/18/10. Pours a clear amber color with nearly no head. Aroma of toffee, raisins, daint leafy hops and light toasty notes. The taste is citrus and leafy hops with tart-cherry like notes. Medium-full bodied.

Deep somewhat hazy brown coloured body with a bit of a ruby and dark rust coloured tint. A small tan head fades away briskly. Aroma of fresh hops, sugars, raisins and some other fruits. Medium-bodied; Hoppy taste up front fading to a little malty flavour with no spices or anything else. Aftertaste finishes a bit bitter with some nuttiness noticeable and little else. Overall, not much for the style and really not a good beer throughout. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased at Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington, D.C. on 19-November-2005 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Pours deep amber into a shaker. Offwhite micro head with good retention leaves slight lacing. Upfront sweet/sour and full with caramel and figs. Very little of the hops mentioned on the label.

Bottle pours a hazy light brown with a medium sized off white head. Very nice sheeting lacing. Aroma is light malts, a bit woody and decent hop bitterness. Flaovor is a nice combination of lightly roasted woody malts and a decent hop kick. Lingering bitterness that seems appropriate. Thanks to lukin013 for the trade.

Thanks to Dorwart for the trade. Clear dark amber color with a thick and frothy off-white head that lasts a long time. Decent amount of lacing. Earthy malt aroma with some hops present. Medium-bodied but a little thin compared to the better Alts I have tried. Sweet malt and fruit flavors dominate, with some spicy hops. The finish is clean and sweet, if short-lived. All in all this is a pretty good Alt, but I wish it packed a little more punch.
