This delicious creation was truly a product of creativity, ingenuity and luck. In the summer of 2013 we took a test batch of our sessional sour summer ale, Provincial, that didn’t quite hit gravity, and decided to have some fun with it! We added a heavy dose of raspberries. The end result was so delicious, we decided to recreate it! This delightfully tart fruit beer is refreshing, with a citrusy raspberry aroma which transitions to a subtlety sweet and tart finish.

Can. Tart raspberry aroma with notes of lemon, funk and lacto. Pours pinkish-amber colored with half a finger of off white head that has excellent retention and lacing. Starts with tart raspberry and lacto flavors as well having a lively mouthfeel. Finishes dry and tart with lemon and funky. Very nice sour.

Another old-ish keg @Strangeways. Clear, medium juicy gold, with a bit of froth. Smell is a mix of fermented & freeze dried fresh raspberries; inviting. Twangy, syrupy carb, heavy dessert apple cider feels, extra lemon on the tail. Not much here. Another extra aged keg. All downhill after grabbing a sniff.

Sour raspberry and lime. Decent malt backbone. Pours pink with pretty good head. Tangy finish with a touch of raspberry astringency. Tap at First Draft.

Really great chewy sour. Ao balanced. Top notch, but not too pulpy. Funkwerks Fort Collins

Tap at Beer Brain. Raspeberry, light sourness, light excitement. It's alright and has a bit of yoghurt, but I'm not really there with it. Spritz.

On draught at Bob's Bar during the Funkwerks Debut! event on 03/06/2019. Hazy dark pink color with a thin pinkish-white head that evaporates quickly to a sparse outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of raspberry, wheat and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of mildly tart raspberry, wheat, slightly funky yeast and doughy malt. The finish is mildly tart with a raspberry aftertaste. Above average overall.
