Weicher röstig malziger Antrunk, wenig getreidig. Etwas süß, die Röstigkeit bleibt konstant, etwas schokoladig, bitter. Nett. 12/10/10/9/9/9

Pours a pitch black color, topped with a fairly small cream colored head which is very lasting - looks like coffee completely. Immediately after opening the bottle there’s a very pleasant chocolate hit to the nose. Some mild roasted coffee in the back and slight alcohol presence, that becomes a tad more evident later on. Some sweet milk chocolate notes at the start, roasty but not to intensively. Mild bittery feel, but it’s there and some coffee in the aftertaste. Full body but super easy to drink. Creamy almost velvety feel. Alcohol is noticed but doesn’t feel nearly 9%. Just a great example of imperial stout. One of the best I had, if not the best. Complex with everything present enough to feel it, but gentle enough not to overcome the other aspect. Superb.

Bottle, 0.33l, courtesy of Hoppiness crew and shared with Saska. Pours almost black with thin soapy light brown head, poor lacing and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dry cocoa, dark chocolate and just a hint of resin and dried fruits. Taste starts with rich moderate sweet roasted malt and coffee, following is slightly fruity, although subtle chocolate note is still stronger before moderate bitter finish prevails. Medium body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Very nice imperial stout with a bit weaker aroma, but more intense flavour where alcohol is very well hidden and mouthfeel is rather dry...
