22oz bottle pours a bright orange with a creamy, white head. Nose is musty, pine, grapefruit, flowers, honey, earthy, onion patch. Flavor is sweet, bitter, heavy orange, light honey, spicy, pine needles, grapefruit. Full bodied, bitter, refreshing finish.

Picked this up in a trade. Very stoked to try this very highly sought after beer.

A - Beautiful copper and gold colored beer. Excellent clarity and really gorgeous. Half a finger of head was produced on a moderate pour. Nothing too impressive in that regards. The beer has solid lacing on the glass each swirl.

S - Nice big hop profile. Lots of pine, hop resin, citrus fruits like lemon and tangerine. Very fruity and very hoppy. I’m getting a solid degree of dry hops as well. Smells exactly as a DIPA should.

T - Whoa. Gigantic hop explosion, lots of bitterness and very mind blowing. I’m getting loads of hops on the front and back of the tongue. There’s a nice malty taste at the back of my tongue, lots of citrus on the front.

M - 90% carbonation on a mouth swish which opens up more of the citrus profile. Lingering hop resin is a bit hard to deal with though.

O - It’s like an amped up Hopslam or perhaps a bigger version of Heady Topper. It lacks the smoothness of Pliny or the drinkability of Daisy Cutter. It’s somewhere in the middle but wicked impressive.

Sweet mango, tangerine, and orange peel aroma. I had a small sample of this shortly after its release. From a 22oz. sample I now smell those same aromas, but now with a touch of cat urine, which isn’t necessarily a detractor. Shimmering amber, medium yellow head. Orange peel, pine, and tangerine flavor. Alcohol well masked. Delicious, varied, and a good level of bitterness, but a bit resinous. Extremely well hopped in both quantity and quality.

Bottle thanks to Dallas. Pours a copper color with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet resin and rich fruit. The flavor is damn good; rich resin and bitterness, very large, drinkable, light tropical fruit and a bit of candy. Very nice. Competes with the better IIPAs.

Bomber from Vintage Cellar. Pours a clear amber color with a thin off-white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of floral, herbal, tropical and citrus hops, strawberry and mango, caramel malts. The taste is tropical, citrus and resin hops, strawberries, lemongrass, caramel malts. Medium-full bodied, average carbonation and a moderate lingering bitterness. Nice.

Draft at Rustico. Poured a clear orange/amber color color, virtually no head beyond a tiny wispy white head. Aroma was grapefruit, tropical fruit notes, pine resin. Flavor was incredibly hoppy, pine and resin, grapefruit. Enjoyed this quite a bit.

I’ve had this numerous times. I’m going to bump up the rating a bit more. Very good fresh. Wonderful.
