750 ml bottle provided by beastiefand2k. Pour is ruby orange, slightly hazed, with a one inch off white head. Nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of fusil alcohol, caramel honey sweetness. Some Vanilla notes. Nice nose. Taste is sharp alcohol, bright vanilla, brown sugar, caramel. Taste is not quite as pleasant as the nose, mostly the alcohol jumps out a lot more in the taste. Palate is medium, with sharp residual alcohol. Thanks for sharing this Eugene.

Courtesy of tpd975. Thanks again, you rock!!!! Pours clear deep copper with tall rocky tan head. The mild aroma has deep sweet maltiness, some dark fruity esters and a muted pine hop note. Overall a mild aroma for the style. The taste is malt and pine hops before sweet sweet caramel malts and very dark fruity esters rise up and take over the flavor. The taste is pretty bold but lacks the full dark fruity esters and caramel depth of an English styled barleywine and lacks the hops to be an American or west coast version. So it is in the middle and tasting pretty darn nice.

Pour brown. Aroma, fruity (remidned me of kiwi).hops and caramel malts. Taste, caramel malts, grains, some roastiness, light chocolate malts. Fruity taste is closer to some sweet dark fruits.
