Bottle: Poured a dark black color ale with a nice brownish foamy head. Aroma of roasted malt with some cacao notes is pleasant. Taste is also dominated by some roasted malt with cacao notes and some musty notes that are also noticeable. The chili notes are very hard to distinguish which is somewhat of a letdown. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Not bad but not necessarily great either with the chilies notes not coming through strong enough.

A dark brown stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, bitter chocolate with coffee grind, musty character, OK. In mouth, a nice bitter chocolate with coffee grind, musty character, cherries, molasses, alcohol warmth, nice. Merci Ian.

Bomber from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours dark brown with a very slight tan head. Aroma of cacao with something that might be rye spice or light pepper. Med body or better. It is chocolate for flavor, but theirs a very spicy/peppery aspect. I don’t think capsaicin is involved, but what else might it be? So finishing somewhat sweet chocolate with "pepper" replacing hop to deal with the malt. Side note: No trace of heat to me. This is pretty tasty ale. I’m feeling virile! Damn maca powder. :)
