5oz draft pour at the 2016 YOX anniversary party at Old Ox. Poured a relatively clear orange color with a foamy white head. Aroma was pleasant citrus and pine. Nice resin - reminds me a lot of their OTWOA. Tasty sweetness, chewy hops. Nice malt backing. Refreshing. This is the best beer I’ve had from them in what feels like years.

Can courtesy of Summer Santa. Thank you Nibleprop! Pours hazy burnt orange with a small creamy offwhite head that leaves some sticky lacing and trace in the glass while dissipating. Smell is slightly malty, dank, fruity and grassy with white bread, caramel, grapefruit juice, pomelo, mango, pineapple, passion fruit, freshly cut grass, pine needles, chives, lemon grass, minerals, alcohol, orange zest and lemon zest. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter, fruity and grassy. Mouthfeel is soft, round, oily, tiny viscous, tiny astringent, slightly boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet and slightly bitter with sweet bread, caramel, grapefruit juice, tangerines, mango, pineapple, star fruit, freshly cut grass, pine needles, resin, watermelon rinds, grape skins, orange zest and lemon zest. Usually not a fan of the sweet 10%-ish abv IIPAs but this one is great. Fresh (couldn’t find a canned on date but smells like it’s in good shape), dank, fruity, grassy and balanced with sweet malts, medium bitterness and hints of Campari booze. Legit! --- Beer merged from original tick of Solar Abyss on 06 Aug 2015 at 23:10 - Score: 8. Original review text: Yey! Santa sent me an IPA for IPA-day!

Good hoppy head, with lots of pine. Lots of caramel here too. Thick slightly syrupy consistency. Orange pour with OK head. Bittersweet finish, but mostly bitter. Good but not a lot of depth here, surprisingly. Armageddon much better.

32oz growler I picked up at the brewery. Pours a hazy, dark orange with some thin, lacing white head. Nose is classic DIPA, big punchy citrus, orange, tangerine, grapefruit, some stone fruit, grass, lightly herbal, perfume, malt, honey. Flavor has more punchy herbs than the nose, garlic shoots, chive, ramps, a nice complimentary sweetness, tangerine, grapeefruit, a little sticky nectarine, honey. Full bodied, lightly sweet, bitter finish. Really nice. As good as Wings, in my opinion.
