Challenger Deep is a rich, complex stout with hints of chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Deeply satisfying.
Nitro Stout – pour vigorously to release the bubbles!
A complex mix of malts – as well as oats, flaked barley and a touch of vanilla – give real depth to this full-bodied stout. This beer is lightly carbonated, with nitrogen added for a soft creamy head; shake the can lightly before opening and then pour vigorously to release the bubbles.
This stout is as dark as the deepest reaches of the ocean… and celebrates Sir Charles Wyville Thomson, born in Linlithgow in 1830. As chief scientist on the HMS Challenger expedition of 1872–1876, his team catalogued over 4,000 previously unknown species, as well as discovering the deepest known point in our oceans – the Challenger Deep.

Cask. Pours near black with a small light tan head. Smells of roast malt and chocolate. It tastes of chocolate, coffee, and roast malt. Pretty sweet. Medium body. Good.

440ml can from brewery shop - jet black body with a small tan head. Roasted malts with a dark chocolate hint in the nose, taste is a little sweeter milky chocolate with a vanilla finish. Not too impressed with the mouthfeel, a little thin, but still quite nice.
