Malty with slight roast and caramel awesomeness shinning through teaming with hops that bring a wonderful subtle fruit.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to becher glass.
Appearance: dark amber color with a finger and a half's worth of white foamy head which dissipated gently to leave some light lace
Aroma: semi-sweet caramel/toffee malts with some piney-ness and slight grapefruity hop tone underneath
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to bittersweet to slightly bitter; finishes malty with some dryness
Texture: light to medium bodied - maybe a touch closer to medium; somewhat sessionable; some smoothness but also a bit of dryness - nothing overbearing; good carb level
Overall: nice enough red ale I'd be willing to come back to if they brought it out of retirement.
