Bottle @ Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering, fonefan. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are yeast, sour malt, citrus, fruits and has odd sour notes.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Hazy dark golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, wheaty, light sour and yeasty. Flavor is medium sweet and light sour. Dry and light sour finish. 190816

On tap. Pours a cloudy yellow colour with a white head that leaves. Wheat aroma. Rich wheat and some banana flavour.

@ the brewpub in Böblingen. Cloudy amber-brownish golden with a tall and creamy beige head. Smooth palate, delivering yeasty-fruity hints. Quite light-bodied. Good summer beer.

Bottle. Slight hazy amber with verh big off white head. Light banana, red apple, berries, grapes. Light bready. Taste is light sweet and light to medium sour. Medium bodied. Maybe this was not fresh enough anymore as I don’t think the sourness is intentional. Still not that bad.

Weich herber Beginn mit eher geringer Hefigkeit. Mild, die aufkommende Bitterkeit ist deutlich intensiver als die Hefe. Laffer Abgang, wenig süß. 11/10/9/8//9

Wichtel appears to be branding the American brew pub model. This newer offering in Boblingen had just a limited on tap menu, but offered growlers to take home. Hefeweizen was cloudy and dark, not in dunkel territory, but cloudy and brown enough to question whether or not it was weizen. Head was foamy and creamy, flavor appropriate for style. Not stellar, but good enough to enjoy with their limited menu. Pushing the atmosphere and branding above the quality of beer...
