You get thirsty building a city, and sometimes you need a dependable beer to help quench that thirst. Full-bodied, with American grown hops. It's fresh and bold in beautiful gold with a touch of sweet malt and a smooth finish.

Draught. Pale yellow pour with fast dissipating head. Aroma of citrus and maize. I wish I could rate the flavour lower, there was an indescribable unpleasant ’something’ in the flavour that put me off. Ordinary fast dissipating finish with a tiny bit of hoppiness.

Strohs. A extremely weak beverage to say the least. You pay for quality here, and not suprisingly there just isn’t any quality at all. Can adds interesting metallic taste (to say the least).

A beer that is not as bad as the other ones. In fact, it is ok. Drinkable at least. Unfortunately, it is far too expensive to ever buy again (at least where I am from). Yeah, so it is actually a beer and for that I give it a high five to the face.

Sampled from a 12 oz can this beer poured the palest yellow color I have ever seen, with a huge soapy white head. The aroma is sour macro pale lager tang. There is a bit of corny sweetness on the nose. The flavor is dry and corny with a hint of pepper and a tangy finish. Bland and inoffensive.

Canned. I haven’t seen this for a while in Chicago, so when a saw a six for $4 in Lafayette, IN, I thought I should grab it in case it’s about to go the way of Falstaff. I notice, though, the can says nothing about it being "fire brewed," and the pour looks it. A thin gold color only slightly less pisslike than a Miller. Can’t pick up much of a smell, not even the usual generic "beer" smell that some macros still put up. Thin head dissolves right away. My first impression was that there was just a touch of bitter to it right up front. Not a bad start, but there’s very little to back it up. Still more corn than malt to it. Overly fizzied, goes down like a 7up. A decent cheap lawnmower beer, at least.

Served in a can at the tin can tavern in St. Louis. No real aroma and i drank it right out of the can. Flavor is grain and very watery. Nothing really redeaming but it did hit the spot on a very warm June evening. When you can get a beer for $1.50 at a bar you should not expect much.

12 oz can-pours a white head, color is yellow. Aroma and taste of grain. Good carbonation. When served ice cold it’s 3.0 However, when served at a regular cold, less enjoyable & aftertaste is sub-par 2.2

Re-Rate: I’m not sure if they have returned to the pre-1979 recipe but something has changed. Barley malt and light straw aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Mildly sweet barley malt and lightly bitter herbal hay flavor. Decent body. This is a pretty solid beer now - there is no longer the horrible cheap lager corn syrup flavor. Clean, nice tasting lager - at least as good as PBR - hopefully won’t become a hipster beer. Think I’ll keep some of this on hand.

This beer is so much better than bud and costs so little. I just found a place where a 30 pack is 8.99, good lord! The price makes it taste oh that much better. So if you need cheap beer I would drink this over the regular american piss.

You know... I usually forget about Stroh's. I don't know what it is. I've had plenty of it, it's cheap, and one of the better cheap beers... I guess it's in that category above crap, but not as good as above average. For the price, I suppose you can't go wrong. There's nothing wrong with this beer... but thankfully, even when I am running low on cash, I have a credit card... ahh, I have just realized why I forget about Stroh's.
