Pour is a clear dark gold with a huge white head. Aroma is beer. A little malty some peppery hops. Flavor is clean neutral malt and not much else. A little heavier mouth feel then a adjunct American lager but tastes about the same.

Pours golden with a thick white head. Aroma of acerbic malt. Taste has a light sweetness to it. Palate is nearly nonexistant. cheap beer.

From Oct 2006

Poured from 16oz can a straw gold with a lot of foam that settles down to a fine broken layer.

The smell is on the sweet malty side with just a bit of "lemon pledge" nose to offset it and that's ok with me.

The taste is sweetish malty up front with some graininess and just a wee bit of bitterness right before the finish that could easily get over looked and the finish itself? That's on the watery side and probably the weakest taste feature for this APA. I remember this brew from back in the 70's and 80's and it had a really nice hop bitterness bite to it that threw the flavours totally out of balance but that's what made it so darn tasty. I really miss that old formula but this one is pretty good as well. If I had it in my market, I'd visit it often.

12 ounce bottle. Medium gold color topped by a small creamy white head. Grainy malt nose. Sweet grainy malt flavor upfront. Some metallic notes. Thin bodied with a slight citrus hop character in finish.

Boy, does this one bring back childhood memories. The drinking age in New York was 18, I could get served at age 13, Son of Sam was stalking the city, and this was about the only thing we had too cool us off - especially when the big power failure hit. Don’t know where I’d find it these days.

Almost undrinkable. Skunk like you wouldn’t believe. Soapy flavor and terrible off taste in the end. Found an old bottle in an attic that I was re-doing and decided to try it out, not that bottle of course, a new one from the package store, but in the end I don’t think it mattered.

16 ounce can from Amity Wines, New Haven. Pours a clear golden color with a large white head. Good head retention. Aroma of some faint citrus and not much else. The taste is pale malts, apple and citrus. Thin bodied. Not horrible.
