Bottle while delayed at DTW post Moorpylz wedding. Translucent amber pour. Aroma is some pine hops, with some other more fruity flavors mixed in. Taste is more simply pine hops with big malt to balance. Not bad DIPA but wouldn't get again.

Bottle sample at Beer & Beyond. Clear golden-orange. Aroma has kinda stale fruity hops and some malt. Flavor has sweetish malt, citric and piney hops, slightly stale, and nice bitterness. Medium-bodied.

Bottle. Clearish caramel orange-brown body, thin off-white/cream head. Bitter, lots of candied citrus peel and citrus resins; berries, toast, caramel. Complex and rich. Very good.

Bottle. Deep golden/amber body, white head. Aroma of resin, pine sap, dough, caramel. Hints of orange, citrus, alcohol. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Nice balance of sweet and bitter, but overall standard resin and pine ipa.

Bottle from Downtown Spirits, Seattle
Beautiful amber color, bright and clean, with medium sized compact head. Mild aroma of resiny hops and caramelly malt. Good body strength; the flavor is essentially based o malt and caramel, with a touch of cereals; it’s lean, with just a bit of sweetness, so it doesn’t get cloying; the hops are not very bright, but they still carry a good degree of bitterness and some hop resins; bitter orange peel in the final.
Not vibrant, but a solid brew.

Pour is a dark amber with a small white head. Aroma is piney hop and very bready. Flavor is more of the piney hop and also a very heavy and chewy malt. A slight alcohol burn also emerges after the swallow. This was just ok. Not enough of the hops and a way too heavy malt bill make this slightly above average.

Bottle. Pours a coppery orange with a thin head and delicious aromas of papaya, oranges, a little pine and toffee. Flavor loses a little of the distinction that comes through in the nose, though and the thing ends up as a well balanced DIPA without a direction to the hops. The bitterness is just that... bitterness, but not distinctly tropical or citrus or any other path I can follow. That said, it has a nice zing to it and things balance out very nicely.

Bottle: Amber color with two fingers of sandy head. Lots of thick sheet lacing. Nose is hop forward and sweet; citrus, tropical fruit, and pine. Hop flavors a huge without excessive bitterness. Citrus and pine, lightly sweet. A sense of the ABV on the backend reminds me that this is 8.5%, but it is hidden for the most part. Picking up a little bready malt in the tail as it warms. Nice offering by ABC.

From bomber to glass. Overt grapefruit. Clear deep hold with full white head. Moderate high bitterness and slight alcohol warmth. Balanced malt and hop flavor, where the flavor could be more pronounced. Overall, a very good beer but nothing to seek out.
