Not the sort of thing I'd usually buy but as always I'm a sucker for something new, but also its a local beer made with locally grown strawberries so let's give it a shot. Pours interesting with a bright fresh strawberry aroma that turns quickly into something vaguely artificial not unlike strawberry lip gloss, but that's OK, it reminds me of kissing Michelle in 7th grade, 1982. Pale gold color, the base beer feels closer to an ordinary pale ale, also OK, malts are bready, hops are vague, somewhat masked by the strawberry, but lean pine resin and citrus. Generally balanced and lean, with the strawberry flavors sort of just being there, being weird, not exactly a mesh with the base beer. Good try I guess?
