Great Lakes strikes again with another quality offering in their Tank 10 series. The nose is dank hops with some lighter fruity elements and a hint of yeast. Colour is a tan/grapefruit juice hybrid. The Belgian yeast and hops come out in a really nice balance. The yeastiness is clean and a bit peppery while the hops are juicy and fresh with lemon, grapefruit and tropical elements. A bready malt underpins this really nicely and a nice mid-range effervescence punches up the taste and leads to a nice fresh finish. Belgian IPAs are not my favourite style, but this one is winning me over.

Tap at volo.
Great hop aroma, loads of citrus, and some light pine. Tropical fruit, and some yeasty notes round out the light cereal malts. Super clean mouthfeel and carbonation. Great crisp hoppy finish, medium bitterness, and an impressivley satisfying beer. Outstanding summer beer.

Finally rating after several bottles which I enjoyed too much to stop and type. Hazy medium gold with a small white head leaving patchy lace. Nose is juicy citrus and pine with some pear, pepper, light tropical fruit and caramel. Flavour is an excellent balance of light malt sweetness and a big hoppy bitterness with pepper for accent. Mouth is medium with average carbonation and a long dry bitter finish. Would love to see Great Lakes put the #10 on a bunch more tanks and keep cranking out quantity of everything in this series.

Bouteille 650ml, gracieuseté de msjpearson, Thanks Mike! Couleur dorée limpide, mousse blanche laissant une dentelle fuyante. Arôme d’agrumes, malt, levure, cornichons?, poivre vert. Goût de malt, levure, bonne amertume, zeste de pomélo, houblon résineux. Carbonatation très élevée, corps moyen.

On tap at Bar Volo. Audrey Hopburn, love that name - A deep copper gold pour with a filmy head & good lacing. The nose is banana bread & light spice in the nose. It is full bodied with a soft mouthfeel giving an overall creamy funky fruity flavor - great.

Draft - Lots of citrus, sweet fruit and some yeasty notes. Cloudy gold with a goos white head. Lemon, citrus, light tartness, and a hoppy bitterness that ends yeasty sweet. Decent.

On tap at Bar Volo, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of Belgian yeast, piney hops, and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is very dry, with notes of Belgian yeast, piney hops, and zesty biscuity malt with a tanginess. Nice balance of the Belgian and regular IPA notes. Great stuff.

Single bomber from the LCBO. Pours a cloudy golden colour with a creamy off-white head that has great retention and foamy lace. Beautiful nose of Belgian Ale yeast well-blended with the fresh grassy hops and hints of spices (cloves, pepper). Medium-bodied, average carbonation with a mild dry finish. The taste is a mix of notes of bananas and grapefruits. The herbal hops offer very nice bitterness. Wow ! What a great brew.
