“August in Florida is God’s way of reminding us who’s in charge.” ― Blaize Clement

Unfiltered and refreshing, our German-style wheat beer is full on flavor yet light on the palate. Authentic hefeweizen yeast creates the compelling aromas of bananas, citrus, and cloves, while the all wheat and malt body perfectly captures the brilliance of an orange- and yellow-flecked Florida sunset.

Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce bottle into weizen glass, bottled on 4/16/2018. Pours fairly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon, orange, peach, pear, melon, red apple, banana, bubblegum, clove, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/fruity/earthy hops, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with solid strength. A bit too yeasty on aromas. Taste of lemon, orange, peach, pear, melon, red apple, banana, bubblegum, clove, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Mild herbal/grassy bitterness, yeast spiciness, and wheat tang on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange, peach, pear, melon, red apple, banana, bubblegum, clove, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/fruity/earthy hops, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a delicious hopped hefeweizen. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/fruity/earthy hops, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the mildly bitter/spicy/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. A unique take on the style, with the added American hop notes. Very well balanced between German yeast, citrus/fruity/earthy hops, and pale/wheat malts. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example otherwise.

I was hoping for more here, but I want to come back to it in bottled form. I had it in draft form at Chilis. It was light in carbonation, a dull golden, almost clear in the glass. Weak banana and clove elements.

Cloudy golden coloured body with a thinnish, single to two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of wheat, pure coriander seed, light curacao, a touch of full oranges, some corn and grainy notes and a dose of light yeast and bread on the end. Light to perhaps Medium-bodied; Sweet corn and light wheat flavours show up front with a big dose of the curacao in a sweet fashion along with some bready and yeast notes and the flavours end with a more robust sweetness and orange flavour throughout. Aftertaste is slightly bready with some yeast notes and a dose of unfinished sugars and ends with a more pleasant orange and curacao flavour that really finishes in an easy-to-drink fashion with the sugars way before any discernible alcohol or bitterness. Overall, a pretty nice and refreshing beer with a lot of orange, curacao and pure wheat flavour with absolutely no hard-to-drink flavours, bitterness or astringency at all. Nice to sample, especially fresh, I just with this Florida day was much warmer (I don't say that often). I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Corner Store (Bait & Tackle) in West Palm Beach, Florida on 26-December-2017 for US$2,49 sampled in my hotel room here in Walt Disney World [Dolphin] on 01-January-2018 after a perhaps 55deg F day.
