Burnside Permafrost is a big strong ale brewed with 7 different malts and copious amounts of Columbia and Amarillo hops pillowed in the middle to give this warming brew a chewy complex malt body and a unique fruity juicy hoppiness throughout. You won’t want to sip this dangerously strong and tasty beer like you should but pound it.

Bottle, 8.3%. Hazy dark brown with small tan head. Aroma is malt, caramel, toasted, hop, pine and a little grapefruit. Flavour is malt, caramel, toasted, medium sweet, hop, little grapefruit, little pine and a little bitter.

Trocken karamelliger, dumpf getreidiger Antrunk. Mild würzig, was sich zum Mittelteil deutlich steigert. Etwas herb, zum Ende würziger. Gut! 11/9/9/10/10/11

Sampled @ Danish Summer Gathering 2015 Trübes orangebraunes Bier. Geruch intensiv malzig, harzig hopfig, reife Früchte. Geschmack süß malzig, sehr hopfig bitter, harzig, Obst.

Sampled at 8th Danish Ratebeer Gathering, Ulfborg 2015, day 2. Clear amber reddish color, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, sweetish initially, some hops, malts, bitter. Medium body and carbonation.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Clear amber with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and fruity. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. 290815

Bottle. Frothy White good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Honey notes. Light sweet and moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Sampled on June 29, 2015. At the brewpub in Portland.Clear brown color, teal head. Sweet, malty, fudge scent. Malty, bitter, some fudge taste. Grainy aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy orange with medium off white head that lasts. The aroma is bready malt and caramel. Medium mouth, nice hop bite, light bitterness, caramel, good.

Draft - Lots of caramel with a touch of hops. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Sweet caramel notes, light hips, some orange and a touch of heat.
