BA Flanders Style Oud Bruin Aged in Oloroso Casks
Inspired by Flanders Red/Brown beers of old, this is a blended sour red/brown ale combining 80% provision strength ‘young’ stock beer aged in steel, with around 30% ‘mature’ stock beer which had been fermented on Rondo grape skins and aged in Oloroso Sherry casks. These casks had been refilled with single malt whisky from Auchroisk distillery, provided to us by our friends at Uncharted Whisky, an independent whisky bottler. This release presents rich dark fruit, juicy tart plums, sherry, nutty oak and a touch of cola cubes.

Ну лучше предыдущих, но все равно ещё не в стиль, хотя пиво хорошее как просто саур годиться.

Bottle from Appellation Wines.
Appearance - deep reddish brown. Beige thin head.
Nose - dried grape, wood, tobacco, leather and a light booze note.
Taste - red cherry, a hint of vanilla and spice from the barrel.
Palate - medium bodied, funky, sour and woody middle and finish.
Overall - great stuff. Didn't smell much like old Flemish but delivered on the taste.
