Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small scummy tan head and good lacing. The aroma is basically coffee but with some hints of nuts and chocolate. In the mouth it is sweet and smooth with a rather watery texture. Malts and coffee are the main flavours plus traces of dark fruits and (later) cola and floral hints. Finish is quite fruity. This is reasonable – though a bit thin.

Cask at Greystones, Sheffield - Deepest brown body with a lasting off-white top. Coffee influence very evident, smooth body, good robust flavours for such low ABV.
