Single from that tiny craft shop in downtown Nashville, I'll Google it. Been sitting in the fridge since Christmas, probably wasn't fresh to begin with. No born on date.
Pint glass at home. Dark iced tea pour, cascading & lingering foamy mass.
Earthy, cocoa powder, black tea, brown bread, weed whacking nose.
Bittersweet leaning sweet. Pancakes, lightly charred bread, bakers chocolate, unsalted nuts. Mellow to medium low straight bittering hops, a twinge of steel.
Too thin, very frothy, medium-high acidity, medium abv quaff.
Decent.

Bottle. Deep brown color. Caramel, notes of bread aroma. Taste is wonderfully balanced taste.

12 oz. bottle from Kroger in Brentwood, TN. Pours a crystal clear dark mahogany color with a thick khaki head and excellent retention. Good lacing. Definite nutty aroma. Dark roasted nutty flavor to match the nose, with a dry finish. Smooth and clean. Medium-light body. Low carbonation. A good example of the style.

From a 12 oz bottle. Pours a clear mahogany with a tan head. Aromas of burnt toast. Flavors are moderately sweet caramel.

12oz bottle c/o BenT. Filtered amber-tan body. Medium bodied, the overall flavor is quite true to style, though the body is still more American, reminds me a lot of Asheville beers of years past in its clean, well brewed, malt centered simplicity. Yeah, I could see knocking off a whole sixpack. Good.

Sampled from a bottle this beer poured an orange-brown color with a large foamy tan head that lingered and left minimal lacing. The aroma was toasty and woody with caramel and a light burnt presence. The flavor was dryish with wood, caramel, malt and toffee. Medium length finish. Medium body.

Fairly boring brown ale, simultaneously sweet and bland, with a mild nutty backbone offset by damp grain and a tiny bit of hop bitterness. Pours brown. Smells brown. Feels kinda brown. Very brown. Also very forgettable.

On tap at Blackstone, pours a clear deep dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma is pretty dull, with light toasted nuts. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted nuts and muffled earthy notes. Not particularly brown ale-like. Dull and lacking direction. Meh.

Bottle from Kroger, Cookeville, Tennessee. Brown with next to no head. Has a darker-malt sweetness, but is light in both taste and nose.
