Tungri Dubbel heeft een warme donkerbruine kleur (EBC 100), ruikt een beetje naar kruiden, is licht sprankelend en heeft een ivoorkleurige volle en romige schuimkraag. Beginnend met een zachte smaak, zal het bier laag na laag intenser worden. Tungri Dubbel is vrij helder maar iets troebeler als de gist bij het bier wordt gegoten of op de tap wordt geserveerd.

Tap at Foeders. Slight hazy dark mahogany with good sized beige head. Some dried plums and raisins, light toffee, old raspberries, brown sugar, light metallic and dusty. Medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied.

Pours very dark, caramelly, earthy brown. Small , rather white head. Smell is bit aromatic dark malts, but not very intense. notes of earthy, cocoa. Taste is full, sweet, earthy, bit chocolate, very remotely sweet, bit bitterness. fairly complex, bit roasty. Nice .

F: huge, tanned, long lasting. C: dark brown, hazy, opaque with some red against the light. A: dried fruits, caramel, hint of irony, spicy, chocolate, brown sugar. T: malt, dark chocolate, cocoa, toffee, brown cookies, coffee, dark caramel, dark fruits, dates, not sweet but dry on the palate, medium to full body, medium carbonation, taste is much better than the aroma, very nice and good balanced, 0,33l bottle from Carrefour market - Saint-Michel @ Etterbeek, Brussels.

Draft at Cafe Hesp, Amsterdam. Dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of toffee, caramel, malt, light butterscotch and light overripe dark fruit. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate sweet. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Clear purple brown beer, creamy beige head, unstable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: pretty spicy, liquorish, some aniseed, caramel, dried fruits. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: little bitter at first, quite some chocolate, yeast, malty, grains, cow fodder. Aftertaste: pretty spicy, liquorish, bitter noes, soft roast, yeast touch, banana peel.
