Brewed with heaps of roasted malt and rye, this Imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels carries notes of baker’s chocolate, toasted challah, and subtle smoke.
This total beefcake of a Barlow batch was aged in a mix of barrels for 22 months, and evaporated to the high heavens! Barlow went into barrels at 11.3% and came out at a whopping 15.7%! It is lush and supple on the palate, balanced by an elevated roast that cuts any bit of cloying character. Its rye spice shines thoroughly on the finish and is a runway to the warming alcohol felt deep in the chest.
