(Draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm, 31 May 2018) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, vanilla, dark chocolate, bourbon and oak wood. Malty, roasted, vinous taste with notes of coffee, cacao, vanilla, bourbon, wood, hints of tart berries and a balanced coffee bitterness. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Rich and tasty, with a certain punch. Very nice.

Sample at The Brass Tap during Cincinnati Beer Week. Pours brownish-black with a medium foamy beige head that dissipates steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of bourbon, malt and coffee. Full-bodied with flavors of roasted malt, oaky bourbon, vanilla and coffee. The finish is oaky with a vanilla coffee aftertaste. Solid beer all around.

Bottle on the bus during RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Solid. Pours black-brown with a small, beige foam head. Lots of rich chocolate, modest wood, deep brownies. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warm finish with dark chocolate, baking cocoa, faint woody dryness and earthy bitterness. Good effort.

Bottle - Tons of dark roast, coffee and bourbon notes. Jet black with a large beige head. Coffee dominates followed by the bourbon, surprisingly not too hot. Very nice.

Bottle during RBWG, thanks! Pours near black with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has rich coffee and bitter chocolate backed by bourbon and roasted malts. Flavor has a boozy start with a finish of coffee and dark grains.
