12 oz can at home from my Secret Santa, big thanks. no obvious BB date. almost black color, quite big coffee-colored head. smells earthy, licorice, some roast, lightly puke-ish, spices, OKish smell if it wasnt for the off-notes. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes quite sour, green apples, light roast, spices, licorice, earthy, lightly funky. finishes lightly sour with some unpleasant spices and some licorice. Beer gets rather unpleasant when warmer. This seems to have some issues (sourness), still some what drinkable at first, but gets unpleasant when warm.

22 oz bottle (White waxed cap, why?) poured into a tulip-style pint glass. Dated Winter 2014/15. Dark brownish black with a finger of light tan head. Aromas of milk chocolate, caramel, oats. Tastes of weird slight tart notes, sour dark fruit and grapes, infection. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Must be infected, still on the shelf at Mt. Airy Liquors last month.

Backlog rating from 2015 at the brewery. Black, brown cream. Nice roast aroma. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Nice balance between roast, milk chocolate and hop aromatics. Dangerously quaffable. Nice

Tap at Maxs. 4/27/14. 2012 vintage. Rusty beige head on top of a thick black body. Quite and excellent Stout. Malty, doughy, some really pleasant chocolate tones. Nails it. Really has aged well. Slight warming. Big and nice.

Draft at the brewery - thanks to my girlfriend. Poured a smooth black color with a HUGE brown head. Aroma was lots of roasted malts, dark chocolate, some light vanilla notes. Dried fruits, roasted malts, bitter chocolate and malt. A touch earthy. Pretty enjoyable, easy to drink, especially on a cold day.

16oz pint at the source. Pours an inky black with some thin beige head. Nose is roasty malts, coffee, toast, some black strap molasses, a little pencil lead. Flavor is heavy on the molasses, some cola, malt, toast, brown sugar, thick coffee. Full, sweet, roasty finish. A big stout.
