Our take on a Belgian-style Tripel is named after the schooner "Atlantic". This gorgeous vessel achieved 20 knots during her sea trials in 1903. Expect aromas of banana, light clove, and pear followed by flavors of apricot, spicy esters, and pear. This beer has a light sweetness but finishes dry with a touch of hop attitude.

Norm’s Beer and Wine, Vienna Virginia bottle: Pours hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is spice, fruit, yeast, and more than a hint of the booze. Taste is slightly boozy. Fortunately not too sweet. Enough coriander. Nothing too exciting. Drinkable enough.

Bomber from Beer Run. Pours a hazy golden color with a thin wisp of a white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of bready and doughy malts, some nuttiness, a touch of candi sugar and mild apricot and pear. The taste is candi sugar, nutty notes, bready malts, peppery hops, mild stone fruits and cotton candy and a bit of booze. Medium bodied, assertive carbonation. Slight heat, but still fairly drinkable.

Split a 22oz bottle with some friends. Poured a mostly clear, golden yellow color with a small white head. Aroma was light caramel malt notes, some light citrus fruits and yeast character. Flavor was some light yeast, caramel malts, citrus character. Very light, especially for 10%, I never would have guessed.
