The festival beer for Welcome To The Neighbourhood + CANADA, brewed with our joint-headliners Messorem.
Messorem (latin for Reaper) Bracitorium (latin for Brewery) opened in 2019 by Marc-André Filion, Sébastien Chaput, and Vincent Ménard; three friends who came together through Montreal's underground music scene and a love of craft beer. We tasked them with bringing the best of Canadian breweries with them year and they have delivered - it's going to be one hell of a party.
We've made several beers together over the last couple years, all of them massive hazy things exclusively hopped with NZ varieties, and this release is no different. We've digitally collaborated on a Gold Top TIPA drowning in Nelson Sauvin and Riwaka.

440ml can from Benny’s Place, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy yellow golden colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is grainy, stone fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a fresh, smooth, herbal, stone fruits, vinous, light boozy, light hop bitter palate. Over medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Usually my brother is the one who adores the triple IPAs but this one was truly outstanding. Juicy, loads of pine, little bitterness and loads of fruit, while being superbly drinkable. Excellent.

440ml can. Murky golden with a white head. Aroma is a lovely blend of tropical fruits, stone fruits, and citrus fruits. Taste is sweet, tropical, papaya, mango, peach, grapefruit, gooseberry, white wine, dank and herbal, light hop bitterness, just a hint of its 10% ABV showing with a little warmth. Full bodied, smooth.
An excellent TIPA. As always I could've done without the lactose but this wasn't one of the overly sweet ones so it's fine.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 27/06/2026.
Murky orange topped with a just off white cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is raw tropicana, dank chimes, pine resin, mandarin, stone fruit.
Taste comprises pine resin, stone fruit gooseberries, guava, dank spike, grapefruit.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spattered with juicy come resinous hop bitterness allied to a mellow rising boost coated with NZ hop goodness.
Top drawer TIPA ... well balanced ... good bitterness and never sweet.
