440ml can. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, berries, dark chocolate malts. Taste is hoppier than the aroma suggests, more citrusy, grapefruit, piney resin, then the dark fruits, berries and chocolate malts, bittersweet with the finish more bitter. Medium bodied.
Feels like an actual blend of the two beers - aroma is more like Old Peculier and taste is more Baby-faced Assassin. Ends up more of a hoppy Old Ale as opposed to a true BIPA.

A marriage made in North Yorkshire for this anticipated ale as new Theakston brews are rare. There's lots of traditional aspects here, combined with some tropical fruit emitting hops and the results is an excellent fusion of old and new with Roosters. Tropical notes are strong in aftertaste.

Dark ruby colour, small beige head. Caramalt, hard licorice, malts in the nose. Light to medium-bodied. Flavour is like hoppy Old Peculier. Caramalt, hard licorice, earthy hops, decent bitterness, malty backbone. Nice traditional Old Ale, modern CDA mix.

A dark brown beer, a head is small and beige. Aroma has riped fruitness, light roastiness, perries, maybe some glue. Taste has roastiness, riped fruitness, breadyness, some bitterness. Medium bodied. Should be fresher.

Can. Morrison’s. Muddy dark brown. Half decent sticky lasting beige foam. Nose has dark chocolate. Well done white crusty loaf. Some dark cherry truffle. Some charred citrus. Taste has a light sweetness up front with a good heft of charred bitterness. Drinks nice and easy overall. Nicely juicy in fact. Good depth of bitterness to finish. Nice CDA.
