On tap @ Ørsted Ølbar, Copenhagen. Black body with a moderate sized beige head. Aroma is pine dominated with mild dark malt. Flavor is quite smooth dark malt, pine and OK bitterness. Medium body and aftertaste that ends a bit harsh on the bitterhops. Totally OK, still a bit one-dimensional on the pine hops.

Tap. Devonshire Cat, Sheffield. Murky, very dark, cola brown. Thick, bubbly, lasting, beige head. Nose has nutty, dark chocolate. Light roast malts. Some fruity coffee bean. Notes of grapefruit and pineapple hop. There’s some ripe strawberry, too. Smells great. Taste is a lovely balance of creamy, chocolate sweetness, and bright hop bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel. Good depth. Finishes with a bitter punch, and a lip coating sweetness. Fantastic BIPA.
