The story of pilsner starts in 19th century Bohemia when a Bavarian monk smuggled a special yeast to a brewmaster in Pilsen. The story of pFriem Pilsner starts in the Pacific Northwest where it acquires the aroma of fresh grass and flowers and a touch of honey. While there are no monks involved in this pilsner, there is still a crisp and spicy finish.

Updated May 2019 On tap. Pours a clear gold with light head and lots of carbonation. Aromas of floral grain. Flavors follow same with bitter hops and a tinge of cardboard. Clean and fresh but can’t see what the fuss is about. A pretty basic pils. 500 ml bottle. Pours a clear yellow/gold with light pillowy head. Aromas of grain, dried apples, and paper. Flavors of grain, bitter nuts and light fruit. 6//4/6/4/12

16.9 oz bottle. Aroma is grassy, fruity, doughy. Pours clear deep golden with a large white head with excellent retention; laces a little. Taste has a nice hoppy bitterness, some faint lemon. One of the best pilsners I’ve had.

Bottle poured. Pours a clear pale color with a ton of head and lacing. Crisp, light bready flavor with a little apple. Cool finish. A little more flavor than your typical pilsner in my opinion. Cracker like flavor finish as well. Tasty pilsner for sure. One of the better I’ve had in my short lived experience. I’d totally drink this again.

Clear straw, dry, has a nice herbal dryness, a classic north Geman pils with character.
