Capped 750 from Made in Oregon. Pours gold with a large creamy white head. Aroma of fruit that’s suggestive of perfume. Med body,or nearly. It’s a bit like tropical fruit funk with citrus. Dry and astringent. Hoppy saison. What a good idea.

Bottle. Cloudy golden yellow color, massive white head. Aroma of dusty straw and light lemon. Taste is peppery lemon and hay. Moderate funk and barnyard. Nice.

Rich light amber and copper coloured body with a large off-white head. Aroma of light hops, yeast, funk, spices and a strong floral element. Medium-bodied; Pungent malt and grassy kick up front with some lighter spice notes, a heavy flavour of yeast and grass and a bit of perfumey and grapefruity hops show up on the finish. Aftertaste shows pretty nicely with a good layering of malt, hops, flowers, yeast and finishing with spices. Overall,a good darker and deeper saison than their other offerings, but perhaps not as good as some other local options - a very nice problem to have indeed. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Made in Oregon (PDX Airport, Terminal D) on 28-September-2013 for US$11.95 sampled in my hotel room in New York, New York on 01-November-2013.

750 ml bottle. Pours a mostly clear copper color with a large white head. A fruity dusty hop nose. Sweet, some bitter hops and dusty yeasty notes. Caramel. A Belgian pale ale. Good

Amber coloured, not dark, but not light like a saison. Some pear in the aroma, not sure where it comes from. Spice and citrus in the finish, is this an IPA with a saison yeast? Bigger bodied than most saisons.

Tap at the Commons, PDX, 26/05/13. Hazed golden amber with a thin off white head. Nose is pale malt, citrus, bitter orange, grass, light sugar. Taste comprises tarte fruits, lemon rind, bitter orange, grass, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp finish. Decent enough season, lacks a little funk and earthyness to make it a top notch example.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a clear blonde / yellow with a small white head. Peppery and spicy on the nose, along with subtler hints of Belgian yeast. Flavour is peppery upfront, with notes of spice, floral notes and Belgian yeast. A little too peppery for my taste. Decently made, but not so enjoyable.

Sampled at GABF. Pours a hazy orange with one ring of white head. Fusel nose, estery, peppery, a little mango. Flavor is very estery as well, clove, banana, fropical fruit. Medium bodied. Like a hef gone bad. Too estery.
