Bottle at Black Christmas 2017
Dark amber color. It's a bit thin, although sweet, probably because the alcohol is too evident; some bourbon notes; not much complexity.
But good.

Bottle thanks to Chris. Pours a cloudy amber with small frothy off white head. The aroma is yeast, banana, clove, and rye. Sweet roast, light caramel, raisin with sweet finish. Good.

22 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark brown / black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out loads of bourbon, oak, some chocolate and a little leather. Flavour is similarly complex, with loads of bourbon, wood, vanilla, a little cocoa and leather. The barrels are used to such perfection here. The bourbon and oak are pretty front and centre. An awesome replication of Adam from the Wood.

Draft at the taphouse courtesy of Brandon, thanks! Clear maroon color. Aroma of rye bread and pumpernickel. Taste is rye seeds and carraway. Tasty.

Bomber from Belmont. They had a good bit of this. Pours a deep black purple color with a small off-white greyish head. A big malty and rye whiskey nose. The flavor is complex and certainly reminiscent of AFTW: sweet berries, toffee, age, whiskey and oak, heat, something harsh and warm like a shot of whiskey in the throat, earthy, plum, smoke. Deep down this is a fruity smoky ale. The heat is a tad bit rough. Good brew.
