From 0,75l bottle at Sanders place. Brown clear color, very small head. Smells marzipan, candied fruits, light wood, dried fruits. Nice smell. Full body, light carbonation. Tastes of wood, candied fruit, some booze, light figs, dried fruits, marzipan. Finishes lightly sweet with notes of candied fruit, marzipan and boozy notes. Nice one, almost a bit too smooth for me

@ RateBeer 100 for 100 event. Deep brown, beige head. A: Vanilla and some alcohol over normal St B 12. Thinner and less cheerily fruity but with pepper and oak joining bitterness at the end. Nice, but not a patch on the original. Wouldn't mind trying a blend where this version is a part in 5.

Many thanks for this quadrupel to tderoeck. Piwo mega fajnie wyglada, pachnie tez przednio i smakuje super. Co do szczegolow to wyglada to tak: ciemno-brazowo-czerwona barwa pod koniec metna, piana srednia srednio trwala ale oblepia kielich westvleterena solidnie, zapach fig, daktyli, jablek i gruszek. W smaku tarta alzacka z jablek, posmarowana dzemem figowym, cukier trzcinowy, daktyle oraz nieco szarlotki, zalanej cydrem normandzkim. Pol roku w beczce z calvadosu ciut oddaly profil smakowy. Alkohol dobrze ukryty ale doskonale rozgrzewwa, na koncu pozostaje wrazenie jakby Chateau de Breuil 8 Ans zagryzc kromka swiezego chleba posmarowanym miodem gryczanym. Ale chyba wersja zwykla ciut lepsza.

Pours a deep amber colour with a big creamy, light-beige head, great retention and thick foamy-creamy lacing. Steady tiny bubbles for carbonation. Loads of nuts in the aromas with some dark fruits (raisins, dates), caramel and even hints of coffee, hops. Flavours are mostly dark fruits with some light roasted malts and the Calvados apples notes showing a bit in the finish. Again, mild coffee which help things. I like the lingering on the tongue, but not so much a fan of the start in the mouth. A nice brew, but not sure the oak aged does good to an already great beer.

Backlog. Deep chestnut brown with beige head. Malty and a bit boozy with nuts, caramel, raisins and vanilla. Spices coming towards the end. Big, bold and very nice to drink.

How the heck haven't I rated this? Bottle thanks to Todd. Pours a dark copper orange hue with a large white head. A big fruity spicy yeast nose. Big spices and yeast, oak, clove, some darker fruit. Huge flavors, soft palate, very smooth. Lovely.
